I don't often go to the cinema these days but yesterday I went to go see Marley and Me with my sister and a friend. I had seen trailers for the film and I like Owen Wilson so was quite excited to see it. Well, I should really research movies more before going to see them!!!
I feel it is now my duty to give out a warning - Marley and Me is the saddest film I have ever seen! If you are an animal lover (particularly dogs) then I suggest you take a whole box of tissues, I wish I had!!! I cried my eyes out and I don't often do that over films.
Having said that, I do recommend the film as it is actually really funny and very touching. It is worth seeing so please don't let this warning put you off, just be prepared! :o)

ReplyDeleteJust avoid the last 20 minutes, it's a good film until that point. The ending is too graphic and completely unnecessary. I would actually go so far as to say the ending ruined the whole film for me. I don't like to feel as though I want to slit my wrists at the end of a film!

The warning really should have been NOT FOR KIDS. I thought it was a dog picture and took my 9 year old daughter and her two friends. Not a very good idea. I didn't quite know what to do when it got a bit too intimate so I just lowered myself in my seat and pretended they weren't noticing...yeah, didn't work that well.
